Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters
http://www.acws.org- The Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS) is the unified voice of 42 member shelter organizations. ACWS assists shelters by initiating violence prevention projects to improve shelter services and providing professional development and cross-sectoral training for executive directors and shelter workers. In addition ACWS is an acknowledged source of expert data collection and undertakes action research, as well as creates public awareness and provides the necessary tools and information for business and community involvement.
Canadian Mental Health Association
Cmha.ca - The Canadian Mental Health Association’s is an organization that helps Canadians understand and find support for mental health issues. May 3-9, 2010 is Mental Health Awareness Week. The Canadian Mental Health Association has posted several great resources to raise awareness and help Canadian take care of their mental health. To see those resources click here.
Focus on the Family
Focusonthefamily.com- Focus on the Family is a global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive. They provide help and resources related to a variety of emotional and relational issues, including resources on marriage, emotional challenges, parenting, and more.  
Alliance to End Violence
http://www.endviolence.ca/- The Alliance to End Violence is Calgary’s resource centre for family and sexual violence. They work with more than 50 community partners to enhance services for victims of interpersonal violence. They help by identifying and develop initiatives to meet the needs of victims and end the cycle of violence, promoting coordination of the family and sexual violence sector to ensure victims do not fall between the cracks, and inform public policy development so that government can make informed decisions.
Centre Street Church

Their Single Moms Group offers relationships in large and small settings where women can be surrounded by others who are committed to live and grow families of prayer, generosity, love and joy!
